Tasting note:
Intense aromatic lift. Mixed berry compote drizzled over custard. Cinnamon lightly dusted. Butchers shop pork and fennel sausage. Perfumed aniseed, cardamon and clove.
Fresh raspberry and rhubarb – giving the wine a juicy, bright succulence on the palate. A creaminess reminiscent of French pastries – French oak influence. Cinnamon dusting follows building texture. A fleshy mid palate, structural, powdery tannins. Well integrated and balanced.
Maturation: Matured in seasoned French and American oak

Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy.
