Tasting note:
Blueberry and blackberry notes with a hint of spices. The palate offers Silky tannins, redcurrant overtones, and a pleasant finish.
Chilean Carménère is a beautiful, medium-bodied, fruit-forward wine. With gentle tannins, and a deep crimson color, you can expect an array of berries, red fruits, spice, smokiness and earth on both the nose and palate. While the grape is indigenous to Bordeaux, France, Chile is considered the modern hotspot for its cultivation.
Additional information:
Chile’s Central Valley, where the grapes for Viña Santa Carolina Vistana are grown, has a climate ideal for growing grapes. The long, warm summers allow the grapes to ripen slowly and develop complex flavors.
